Top 10! This time we’ve got quite a few major leaguers, though not too many stars. In fact, we have to go to the Seattle Pilots to get to the best unsigned player, but there are still quite a few good players for those signed.

The Milwaukee Brewers activated Hunter Renfroe from the injured list prior to Tuesday's tilt against the Minnesota Twins. In order to make room for him on the 26-man roster Milwaukee designated starting pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez for assignment.

Today Major League Baseball announced that San Francisco Giants starter Carlos Rodon would replaced Milwaukee Brewers closer Josh Hader on the National League All-Star team. The reason given is that Hader will spend the time with family instead.

This is where things start to get really interesting, with a gluttony of good players drafted in Round 11 to Round 15, most of whom signed, leaving only a couple of notable unsigned players drafted by the Brewers in these rounds.

The AL Central leading Minnesota Twins host the Brewers for a two-game set, and offer some star power, a trade deadline chit, and a combustible bullpen. Let’s cover the bases.

WIth the resumption of annual proceedings between the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers this week at Target Field, a look at the nature of the fan, the triviality of modern rivalry and how allegiance to laundry helps us miss the forest for the trees.

The Brewers drafted a universal fan favorite in the 16th round, who only ended up with significant playing time in Milwaukee in the twilight of his career. They also were unable to secure some greats, one of whom is a Cy Young contender.

One game. Like Moonlight Graham and a handful of other guys, Chris Sáenz had his one day in The Show - then was gone. But unlike Graham (and most of those other guys), Sáenz had a day to remember.

The Brewers found a gem in the 22nd round that helped the team when he was on it, and also helped the team when he was traded. But they also were unable to sign some players who ended up on rival teams. 

The last time the Pirates and Brewers squared off they split a four game series. With the two teams at opposite ends of the division, the Crew will look to put on a stronger show of force this time around.

Coming off a series split with the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Brewers returned home for a three-game set against the Chicago Cubs.
