It’s been a wild week for former Minnesota Twins starter Chi Chi Gonzalez. He had his contract selected following an opt out and now is in a new organization following a DFA.

The Brewers have won just two of their past 12 games, but thankfully there are eight Brewers affiliates to follow. Hopefully, there are some positive things happening in the organization. Click below to see how the affiliates performed last week. 

It takes an entire team to lose eight consecutive games, but some Milwaukee Brewers play a more prominent role. The struggles of the three remaining original starting pitchers had a far-reaching impact on the club losing 10 of 12 games.

“That’s so Mets!” they used to say! Some series of unforced errors, epic collapses and MVP caliber players getting injured a third of the way into the season. Queens would weep and the rest of the baseball world would snicker. Cosmically ordained bad luck and worse handling seemed to follow a team with such aggression that their 2015 World Series appearance has been forgotten entirely. That isn’t the case in 2022.

Sure, like the full-season affiliate teams, your intrepid BrewerFanatic daily Minor League reporters enjoy a Monday off.  But given the recent starts of the Maryvale and Dominican Complex League seasons, we will saddle up and continue to seek out the backstories and unique stat lines to point out to our faithful legion of farmhand diehards, After all, last year Jackson Chourio was very good (.833 OPS as a 17-year-old in the DSL), but did that truly forecast 2022's amazing run so far? Luis Lara, anyone? Hopefully we're about to enjoy a similar run with the latest center field high-bonus phenom to grab our attention.

Prior to their game on Saturday the Milwaukee Brewers were dealt a blow to the middle of the infield. After experiencing a right calf strain, second basemen Kolten Wong was placed on the injured list.

Biloxi’s bullpen took care of business, enabling Tristen Lutz to hit the game-winning single in extra innings. Nashville was outplayed and looks forward to a better week ahead. The Wisconsin-Beloit finale was Covid-ed out and will not be made up. Carolina couldn’t keep up with Myrtle Beach.

There is a considerable gap between a thing being 'factual' and that thing being 'truthful'. Facts can be deployed in the service of understanding. They can just as easily be used to disinform. This is a fact: the Milwaukee Brewers have lost eight games in a row.

The early years of the Milwaukee Brewers franchise were not pretty. In the first three years in Milwaukee, the team lost more than 90 games each season. But the era would reward the club with some good players. One of those was slugging outfielder Johnny Briggs.

Just a couple of days after getting starting shortstop Willy Adames back in the starting lineup, the Milwaukee Brewers have also re-inserted catcher Omar Narvaez. Catcher Alex Jackson was played on the 10-day injured list to make room for the move.

Stiven Cruz (Game One) and Jackson Chourio (Game Two) led Carolina to two tight victories over first place Myrtle Beach. Ryne Moore had his first terrific start in Wisconsin and Cam Robinson closed out the 3-1 win in Beloit. Wiemer, Frelick & Co. followed Biloxi’s recent script of dominating the game, only to unfortunately lose it late 10-9. Nashville continued its recent rough patch, losing two tight contests at home against Norfolk. The short seasons squads won three of their four games.

The Brewers looked to snap a three-game skid against the Philadelphia Phillies and their new manager Rob Thompson.
