The Milwaukee Brewers found themselves with an odd final game of a series on a Monday and made a trio of roster moves before getting underway. The club recalled Ethan Small from Triple-A Nashville and designated reliever Connor Sadzeck for assignment. They also flipped outfielder Abraham Almonte to the Red Sox for cash considerations.

Biloxi and Carolina grabbed series-clinching wins over tough competition with solid 7-3 victories. Wisconsin was swept in a doubleheader, as the bats disappointed. Nashville gave up four home runs to lose their finale in Louisville.

The Milwaukee Brewers have been hit hard on the pitching front when it comes to injuries this season. Key starters Brandon Woodruff and Freddy Peralta have both missed time, while a host of relievers have cycled through the injured list as well. Now both Peralta and Justin Topa are nearing a return as they begin rehab assignments.
