When Mike Hegan’s contract was sold to the expansion Seattle Pilots, little did he realize that it would lead to a relationship with the organization that would last 19 years - including two stints as a player, and then a 12-year run as an announcer.

It was an upbeat Friday night for the most part on the Brewers farm. Southpaw Robert Gasser continues to show the parent club they were wise to make sure he was worth being targeted in the Josh Hader deal. Biloxi's collection of veterans about to hit minor league free agency aren't going quietly. Fans in Appleton were thoroughly entertained in a number of ways as the T-Rats are rolling to wrap up their season. While Carolina did stumble, the Mudcats did help us reach back into the archival jukebox with video and lyrics that encapsulate how all Brewers fans are feeling right now about the big-league shortcomings.

It’s math.

Three starting pitchers combined to throw 17 innings of 2-run ball in victories for Nashville, Biloxi and Wisconsin. Terence Doston had a coming out party with two clutch homers. Jacob Misiorowski had an encouraging start in Carolina’s loss.

Getting set for a doubleheader today against the San Francisco Giants, the Milwaukee Brewers made a trio of transactions to set their roster. With an additional spot open due to the doubleheader, they activated infielder Mike Brosseau and recalled pitcher Justin Topa, while only needing to option infielder Esteury Ruiz.

Though I enjoy analyzing and breaking down the Milwaukee Brewers, I'm still a fan. The Brewers appeared in their lone World Series the year I was born, so I'm in that middle ground of experience with this franchise where many younger fans and plenty of older fans exist and might see the club differently. This is my take as a baseball-obsessed fan.

If you are wearied by the ongoing woeful performances at the MLB level, fear not, there is plenty to be excited about down on the farm.  Let's get into the reports.

Yesterday the Milwaukee Brewers sent infielder Mike Brosseau out on a rehab assignment to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He has been on the injured list since late August and is looking to get back to the big leagues.

With less than a month left in the 2022 season, the Brewers find themselves outside of a playoff spot. With time dwindling, here are five ways the Brewers can find themselves playing in October for the 5th straight year.

Nashville put up an extremely rare snooze fest of a performance. Carolina came back to tie it, but lost a brief lead in extras in a tough loss to Myrtle Beach. TJ Shook (and the Shuckers) continue(s) to scuffle in Double-A (more below). Alas, we can thank the Timber Rattlers for the lone Tuesday victory in a shutout. In the first of this three-part series on the state of the Brewers Minor Leagues, we looked at where the experts at MLB.com have some of our individual players as well as the organization as a whole compare to other organizations. Part two looked at how some of the individual players fit into the Brewers future in the OF and IF. In part three, we will now look at the Brewers pitchers and catchers listed among the Brewers Top 30 prospects.

Mario Feliciano and Jon Singleton combined for 10 RBIs in another Nashville win. Fernando Olguin and Logan Henderson pitched a 12K shutout for Carolina. Wisconsin lost a close one and Biloxi is still looking for its offense.

Saturday saw pitching dominance in multiple locales, though especially of note was youngster Carlos Rodriguez' effort for the Timber Rattlers, and the mound work of the opponent vs, the Shuckers. The Nashville and Carolina starters had excellent evenings of their own. Don't worry, we have offensive highlights as well, and the umpires managed to add their own level of dominance to the mix. In 1976, 23-year old Bill Travers broke out with the Brewers with a 2.81 ERA over 240 innings (including 15 complete games) and an All-Star Game appearance. It made Travers one of the first successful home grown pitchers for the young Brewers organization.

After only four starts at the AA level, the Brewers moved their shiny new toy, LHP Robert Gasser, to Nashville for his AAA debut. Gasser squeezed a whole bunch into his evening, as we'll outline below. Corey Ray reminded us of all the "what ifs?" we'll be asking after he departs in minor league free agency this fall. Jackson Chourio should wear a Jackson Chourio costume this Halloween, he'd win every contest he enters. Carolina enjoyed the first few innings of their game, but little thereafter. Let's see how it all went down!

Thirty five years ago this month, Paul Molitor’s magical 39-game hitting streak came to an end. There has been a lot of reminiscing about the streak but no one has compared it to The Undertaker’s legendary Wrestlemania winning streak. Until now.

Jon Singleton powered Nashville to a 6-5 victory with a homer and four hits. Hedbert Perez and Carolina refused to be denied. Big days from Jeferson Quero and Cam Devanney weren’t enough for Wisconsin and Biloxi.
