At times, the Brewers have seen some of their best players man the hot corner. At other times, it has been a revolving door where nobody nailed down the position.

At the end of Part 1 of our Spotlight conversation with Justin Jarvis, we discuss the Brewers drafting him in the fifth round of the 2018 draft. In Part 2 today, we discuss his professional career in the Brewers organization, his development, his pitches, and what helped him turn a corner during the 2022 season. 

At one time, Keston Hiura was a highly regarded prospect of the Milwaukee Brewers.  Currently, his fit on the roster feels awkward at best. What is his role for the 2023 Brewers?

At first glance, the major-league career of Cecil Cooper may seem statistically unimpressive. Slashing .298/.337/.466 (.803) over his 17-year career, and accumulating just 36.0 rWAR doesn’t necessarily roll out the red carpet to the Hall of Fame. Still, his legacy as a Brewer transcends the quantitative metrics typically used in recent discussions of past major-league careers.

At approximately 1:20 this afternoon, the Milwaukee Brewers will open their season at Wrigley Field against the Cubs. Game 1 of 162 for the Brewers as they attempt to win the NL Central Division and advance to the World Series for the first time in 40 years, and hopefully win the first World Series championship in team history.

As we slog through the doldrums of winter, it's fun to peek ahead to what could be this upcoming season via projection systems. The Milwaukee Brewers offense will be under the microscope this season, and the Steamer projections have some disappointing numbers worth examining. 

As we say goodbye to the holiday season and flip the calendar to 2023, Spring Training will be here before we know it. The Milwaukee Brewers appear to have a postseason-level club, but several important questions remain before the first exhibition pitch is thrown in Arizona on February 25. The answers to these four essential questions could determine the club's path today and in the future.

As we inch closer to a mid-July draft, the baseball world has understandably been focused on Spring Training and an Opening Day that now is only a week away. A quick reminder, the Brewers are currently scheduled to make the 27th, 63rd, and 70th picks.

As we creep ever-so-slowly forward to the annual baseball draft, there are a few storylines that have taken a front seat. We finally have an answer to one of the draft’s biggest questions, and we also have a mock draft that sends a prep pitcher to the Brewers. We’ll cover that and more in this week’s update.

As we continue to tour the diamond in the runup to Opening Day, second base now comes under the microscope. There are two very good options available, but choosing the right one won’t be easy for the Brewers.

As the Brewers head into their first off-season under new President of Baseball Operations Matt Arnold, we'll be taking a look at some of the ways the team may look to improve on the 86-76 record that saw them fall just short of a playoff spot in 2022. In this article, we'll look at two of the possible first base targets Arnold may look at (and one that was rumored to be a trade target at the deadline last year in Josh Bell) who could add some punch to the Brewers lineup. 

As Spring Training begins, remaining free agents get antsy and start taking offers at which they would have balked in December. The Milwaukee Brewers benefited from that, as they signed big, right-handed hitting Luke Voit to a minor-league contract. It could be a huge deal for both sides if things break right.
