Christian Yelich has continued his struggles this season. Fans are frustrated and Yelich is frustrated, the question is, where do we go from here? 

You read the title right. I’m writing about the current Brewers. There’s no Jaha, no Robidoux, no Riles. Instead, let’s talk about Keston Hiura and his return to the majors.

Relief pitching is often volatile by nature. They can have fleeting moments (or seasons) of brilliance, followed by implosions that can send them into retirement. The Milwaukee Brewers made a couple of curious moves at the trade deadline. In acquiring Taylor Rogers for Josh Hader, they also netted themselves former starter Dinelson Lamet. He didn’t last in the organization more than 24 hours. Pedro Severino saw a different fate following his DFA.

The Brewers record for June thus far is an inauspicious 1-4. With the benefit of a day off, the Crew can take cold comfort in the fact that they are heading home to face perhaps the most disappointing team in baseball so far this year, the Philadelphia Phillies. 

Luis Urías is one of the quietly crucial position players in the Milwaukee Brewers lineup for 2023. He’s shown stellar upside at the plate, but like a couple of his teammates, he might benefit from a more aggressive approach.

If we are to believe that the Brewers intend to build around Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff, and they want to extend Willy Adames, and they want to do so within a realistic budget, the team may have to trade Christian Yelich.
