The Brewers have a lot of very intriguing questions to answer this offseason, and we will try to provide some thoughts on many of the possibilities. Last weekend, we considered the options with Brandon Woodruff. This weekend, we are considering options for the organization to consider as it relates to Corbin Burnes. 

The Brewers have a Keston Hiura problem. Hiura is a one-of-a-kind type of player, but not in the way you expect.

The Brewers front office staff have been more creative with Major League Baseball in a spending flux. Relatively quietly, they swung a trade with the Seattle Mariners to bring in slugger Jesse Winker, who may be primed for a big season in Milwaukee.

The Brewers found a gem in the 22nd round that helped the team when he was on it, and also helped the team when he was traded. But they also were unable to sign some players who ended up on rival teams. 

The Brewers follow a day off with a brief getaway series against the Rays, who sit fourth in what is shaping up to be the toughest division in baseball. 

The Brewers enter this brief two-game series out of the playoff pictures, looking up at the Cardinals. Will the urgency baked into this series refocus a team that looks decidedly lost? 

The Brewers drafted a universal fan favorite in the 16th round, who only ended up with significant playing time in Milwaukee in the twilight of his career. They also were unable to secure some greats, one of whom is a Cy Young contender.

The Brewers could be looking to fill out their catching depth as Omar Narvaez hits free agency. The Atlanta Braves could prove to be a team that could help them fill that need in a trade. 

The Brewers continued their fight for first place with a weekend three-game set against the Blue Jays, sporting their new 414 City Connect uniforms at home for the first time. While the aesthetics of the new uniforms are open to interpretation, the importance of the three game set wasn't, as the Brewers came in tied for first with the Cardinals.

The Brewers conclude a three city road-trip with a three game set in Miami against the Marlins. After dropping two of three in both Atlanta and Cincinnati, the Crew look to rebound here and head home on a positive note. The Brewers kick off the series still holding a 3.5 game lead on the division rival Cardinals.

The Brewers come into a weekend set at AmFam field with the Nationals before heading out onto the road for an eleven game trip. The Brewers will send Eric Lauer, Brandon Woodruff, and Freddy Peralta to the mound in the three game series as the Crew looks to extend the four game lead they currently hold over the second place St. Louis Cardinals.

The Brewers close out the first half of the season with a four game set at the Giants. After dropping a series to the Pirates and splitting a pair with the Twins, the Crew look to head into the break on a high note and hang on to first place in the National League central division.
