There are many possible permutations for the Milwaukee Brewers infield in 2023, but no matter which comes to fruition, it feels like there’s only room for one of the two right-handed infield bats who rode the bench for Milwaukee throughout 2022.

The Milwaukee Brewers have remained largely static for the past week or so with regards to their 28-man big league roster. On Monday however, the club recalled Jake Cousins while sending Trevor Kelley to Triple-A Nashville.

The Milwaukee Brewers traded first baseman Tyler White to the Atlanta Braves for cash considerations. They also had both catcher Omar Narvaez and pitcher Trevor Rosenthal start rehab assignments with Triple-A Nashville.

On Thursday the Milwaukee Brewers added some infield depth and got some good news on one of their top starting pitchers. Dealing with the Baltimore Orioles, infielder Patrick Dorrian was added to the organization. Brandon Woodruff also continues a rehab assignment, ticketed for a start with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

The Brewers continued their fight for first place with a weekend three-game set against the Blue Jays, sporting their new 414 City Connect uniforms at home for the first time. While the aesthetics of the new uniforms are open to interpretation, the importance of the three game set wasn't, as the Brewers came in tied for first with the Cardinals.

The Milwaukee Brewers have been without the services of their veteran catcher Omar Narvaez since he was placed on the injured list on August 4th. Now over the left quadriceps strain, he’s back in the big leagues. He's expected to be activated by the club on Saturday.

After dealing Josh Hader to the San Diego Padres for Taylor Rogers earlier today, the Milwaukee Brewers continued to make moves prior to the trade deadline. Infielder Mark Mathias and prospect Antoine Kelly have been sent to the Texas Rangers in exchange for reliever Matt Bush.
