Three and a half weeks out from Opening Day, we’re ready to start previewing the Brewers for 2023 on an in-depth, position-by-position basis. That begins today, with the high floor and exciting upside of the team’s catching corps.

In the second installment of our position-by-position preview of the 2023 Brewers, we migrate from behind the plate to first base. Led by the third straight successful veteran reclamation project at that position, Milwaukee appears set to enjoy solidly average or better production again this year.

As we continue to tour the diamond in the runup to Opening Day, second base now comes under the microscope. There are two very good options available, but choosing the right one won’t be easy for the Brewers.
