The 2022 Sirius XM All-Star Futures Game will be played at Dodgers Stadium on Saturday, July 16th at 6 pm central time. You can watch Brewers prospects Antoine Kelly and Jackson Chourio live on Peacock and SiriusXM with MLB Network producing the telecast and re-airing the game at 7:30 pm that same night.

Jackson Chourio, the 18-year-old from Maracaibo, Venezuela, has been flying up prospect rankings, nationally. He has also jumped up to the Brewers' #2 prospect on the Brewer Fanatic Top 20 Prospect Rankings in July.

    Why?

Well, he just signed a pro contract as a 16-year-old about 18 months ago, and having just turned 18 in March, he has really flourished at High-A Carolina. In 53 games since joining the Mudcats, he has hit .319/.371/.587 (.958) with 17 doubles, five triples and 10 home runs. He is very exciting at the plate, but he has done a nice job in center field as well, showing good range and a strong arm. He's also 9-for-10 in stolen base attempts.

Sure, he has just 17 walks to go with 67 strikeouts, but overall, he has the makings of being a future cornerstone for the Brewer organization.

Antoine Kelly won't turn 23 until December. He was the Brewers 2nd round pick in 2019 after a season at Wabash Valley College in Illinois. His high draft spot speaks to his immense talent and potential, but coming into the season, there were still plenty of questions after he experienced injuries in late 2020 and pitched in just nine games in 2021. He was recovering from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome surgery, so no surprise by his near-7 ERA in 17 innings (7 games) a year ago in Carolina.

However, he has been a stalwart in a strong Wisconsin Timber Rattler pitching staff this season. In 15 starters, he is 2-3 with a 3.55 ERA. In 76 innings, he's given up just 45 hits, walked 41 batters, and struck out a remarkable 100 batters (11.8 K/9). Yes, the walk rate is still high, but that can be worked on. The future is exciting for this southpaw flamethrower. Kelly jumped up to fifth in the July Brewer Fanatic Top 20 Brewers prospect rankings and could keep climbing.

Ethan Small was the Brewers representative at the 2021 Futures Game in Denver.
