With the 27th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, the Milwaukee Brewers selected Eric Brown, Jr., a shortstop from Coastal Carolina. We recently chatted with him on Brewers Spotlight. In Part 1, get to know his background, amateur days, and much more.

In Part 2 of our conversation with Milwaukee Brewers first-round pick, shortstop Eric Brown, Jr., we discussed his time at Coastal Carolina, his development, the draft, and the beginning of his professional career in the Brewers organization.

Left-handed pitcher Brandon Knarr pitched very well in Wisconsin and Biloxi in 2022. Recently, he joined us for a three-part Brewers Spotlight. In Part 1 today, we hear about growing up in Pennsylvania, learning a pitch from a Hall of Famer, his hitting ability, spending a season at Notre Dame and a big year at the College of Central Florida. 

In Part 2 of this Brewers Spotlight interview with Brewers left-handed pitching prospect Brandon Knarr. In this installment, we discuss his brief time at the University of Tampa, his decision to sign with Milwaukee instead of some bigger-market teams, what he did during Covid, his 2022 season, and some discussion of his plan for the offseason.

Everything is a a few notches better in Biloxi when Joey Wiemer is doing his thing. This isn't hyperbole. He ripped a solo knock and had an incredible outfield assist (his seventh of the year) to set the tone early (highlight within). Brandon Knarr was magnificent in his Double-A debut - he worked fast, looked confident, pounded the zone, and left with a 3-1 lead after six complete innings. Wisconsin failed to back-up another fantastic start from Antoine Kelly managing a mere one hit. Nashville scuffled in a disastrous third inning. My Jackson Chourio fix was left unfulfilled as Carolina took the tarp off...and then postponed their contest. On to the reports!

The Brewers have won just two of their past 12 games, but thankfully there are eight Brewers affiliates to follow. Hopefully, there are some positive things happening in the organization. Click below to see how the affiliates performed last week. 

We're into the top five 2023 Milwaukee Brewers prospects. Coming in at #5 is the promising young catching prospect, Jeferson Quero.

Three starting pitchers combined to throw 17 innings of 2-run ball in victories for Nashville, Biloxi and Wisconsin. Terence Doston had a coming out party with two clutch homers. Jacob Misiorowski had an encouraging start in Carolina’s loss.

As we approach the top of the 2023 Milwaukee Brewers prospect list, we see more close-to-MLB position players. At spot #4, today's entry is infielder Brice Turang.

As we round into the top three Brewers prospects, we see a trio of promising outfielders. Let's take a look at the first of those, Joey Wiemer.

As usual given MiLB's new scheduling established in 2021, the full-season affiliates enjoyed Monday off, with the clubs at the top three levels all returning to home base. The rookie-level youngsters at the complex level gave us some moments, documented for you here.
