New Softball glove

sheetswannabe

After all the years of playing softball and baseball....I have gone through 6 gloves. By now I am getting very choosy over which brands to get. My favorite is by far Easton, because it was a great glove, I have a great Easton bat, and some great Easton cleats..

So my question is...Anyone on here selling an old Easton, or maybe another brand? of outfield glove?

I need it pretty quick, and I want a nice one, but I DONT want to spend a fortune. I am looking on Ebay, Craigslist everything..

My max price is about 60-75 bucks

Thanks!

If you are really into playing softball or baseball, then my advice to you is to not buy a used glove. Gloves take the shape of your hand over time. Everybody molds the pocket of their glove differently. You can get a decent Easton or Rawlings (my choice hands down) glove for $100 brand new. Take the time to get it the way you want and take care of it and you will be happy for years to come.

Scary as it sounds, and it is scary, I've been playing softball for the last 20 years, multiple leagues per year, with the same glove my father used for 10 or so years before me. As cbustim says, it's just formed perfectly to my hand. Plus, I've gotten to point where I just can't bring myself to buy a new one. Last summer, I had 2 of the laces break, and replaced them with zip ties. I plan on taking it in to be re-laced soon, but I just can't buy another one now. 'Course, I had some, ah, difficulty last year with the 16" inch league. But it's worked well at shortstop (and anywhere else I may have played) for me all these years.

I use a Miken NRG Series. They come in 14 inches which is pretty much the size you want for outfield if you're playing softball. Go to miken.com and research it if you want. I wanna say I paid like 75-80 bucks for it? Either way you can't go wrong. I found it at http://www.softballgloves.com/default.aspx I would stay away from eBay as most of their softball stuff can be had for much less at softballfans.com on their forums.

I used the same glove for a long time, probably close to 10 years. I retired the glove because it had no padding in the palm left and I really bruised my hand last year so every time I caught a ball it would put me to the ground in pain. Getting a new glove was tough for me, it was like I lost my gf, or my dog just died. I don't let anyone use my glove, that would be like letting someone sleep with my gf. I like fstorm play a ton of ball, so being really comfortable in a glove is very important. The one I have now is an Easton, its pretty good, but nothing compares to my old one.
