BP pay article reprinted?

Just wondering why the BP standings are allowed while no other pay content is.

Good question. We definitely don't want to get into a bind.

 

I don't currently have a Baseball Prospectus subscription to be able to check what percentage of the pay content was posted, so I can't really make a judgment call here. (I should really renew. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif)

 

In general, the tendency has been to allow just enough to be a teaser, such as posting Brewer PECOTA stuff without posting other teams'. This year, if I remember correctly we had partial Brewers and partial Cubs PECOTA information.

I thought there was some sort of exception I had not heard about, as when you clicked the link, I got nothing.

I didn't follow the link until this thread came up. The free version of the link gives the standings in BP's projected order with out any additional data.

 

I think there used to be something in the site's rules that was a little more explicative than what's currently there. Right now, it basically says "don't".

 

From a moderating standpoint, I can't see getting into chalking up warnings or anything like that unless this turns into something really problematic. The bigger concern is to stay on good terms with other sites.

Frankly, I don't even click on 90% of the threads here, so I'm not all that surprised that I didn't notice it earlier.
