Mr Wong

Mr. Wong does not wear a tie

I just read this article in Marquette's "independent news source" The Warrior and the whole thing seemed incredibly odd to me.
The author claims that the guy is "mysteriously secretive about what he does" yet his whole secret is laid out right there in the 5th paragraph. Plus the secret is kind of shady. Then near the end of the article the guy admits to regularly breaking the speed limit while "street racing."

"shady" meaning "questionable", not meaning "wrong." He's repackaging the product in such a way that compromises the odds of pulling an insert printed on the back of the pack. Even though the buyer gets what the seller promised.

Must be some pretty stupid housewives if he can make that much money a month doing it. Depending on how many he's pulling, I find it hard to believe that he can mark them up that much over the cost of the original box.

wow. a whole $1000 a month, on average. Why. golly gee oh whiz. That's . . . .let's see now . . . carry the 1 . . . about $12,000 a year! That's almost above poverty level!

I realize he's a student and it's probably a nice way for him to make some money. But he's wasted a lot of money buying the boxes of unopened packs to begin with. And, sorry, I'd rather open a pack for $3.00/pack (or whatever they go for now) and be lucky to pull an autograph card (ALWAYS makes for a good story) than buying one "pre-packaged" with the card that I want. Where's the fun in that?

The guy seems really boring and I don't know why he warrants an article. Although we're not talking about the Wall Street Journal here I guess.

I just picked up this paper for the first time today at Jimmy John's on my lunch break.

What caught my eye was the cover story girl and her nice shirt.

Exactly what I was thinking Chuckie.

Nice job begging for an audit this year! He is advertising that he makes up to $12,000 a year without paying taxes. If anyone from the Department of Revenue reads that - he is going to find a nice chuck of his profits gone this year.
