Dog looking for home

I need someone's help.

I'm three years old. I'm a Bichon/Schnauzer mix. Due to life changes, my master can no longer keep me. It just isn' t the right home for me.

I fear being alone. I want to spend all day in the presence of a human. I also like to be pampered, so I don't think I could live in a house with other animals or with a lot of people. Do you know anyone that is retired or doesn't work that would like some companionship?

I can do neat tricks like stand on my hind legs when you say "up". I know "sit" and "lay down", but I sometimes get them confused. I look at you if you call my name. I was also taught what "no" means, so you can teach me what isn't allowed. I also know "go to bed" means I need to go lay down in my cage.

But being smart also means you need to keep an eye on me. If I'm left alone for long periods of time I get bored. When I get bored I need to find something to occupy my time. Too often, I occupy my time by exploring around and getting into things.

Please? I'll sit there and stare at you, wagging my tail. If you stop petting me, I'll push my head back into your hands. I just love being petted.

You can see here that I just love to love people. I will follow you around all over the house and listen to what you say. I'll be there when you need to pet something, when you ask or not http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I like sleeping on top of the covers at the foot of your bed, but I also know how to sleep in my cage or on the floor. As long as you take me out frequently, I won't make a mess inside either.

This is a desperate plea. On Monday February 11th my master is taking me in to the Wisconsin Humane Society. I'll probably find a good home from there, but I just know I won't like being by myself until someone comes along. Do you know anyone that would want to give me a good home for the next 10+ years? I'm up to date on all of my shots, and don't have any health problems. I do have food allergies, so I need to eat fish or lamb based food. If you think you're the one, reply here or send a pm to Robin19.

Dionysus, but you usually just say Ysus (pronounced I-s'&s). He's named after the Greek god, but people think it's Isis the Egyptian goddess.

The Wisconsin Humane Society, IIRC, is now no-kill. They do a tremendous job treating the animals who come in there and getting them ready for adoption. I got my cat from there, and apparently he was there for 3 months getting various treatments before they even put him up for adoption.

That said, best of luck to Ysis, and I hope you find a family before the 11th.

He might be good with kids, but he hasn't had a lot of interaction with them. Yes, Dionysus is the god of wine. When I first got him all he did was whine. Ba dum dum.
