I like how the young bullpen guys have done in the most pressure packed games of their lives. This team was built for the long haul so this year's experience should help them realize they are good enough to more than compete in the toughest of spots.

It's also helpful to see maybe we can win next year without breaking the bank on the pen. That should leave us more money to put into a third baseman or Starter.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

I went to the game tonight and I have never seen a more electrified fanbase than I saw tonight. The standing ovation for Sabathia and Sheets(to a lesser extent) to start the game was amazing and the ovations for Jenkins were very classy. I also did not see one attempt at the wave (I was in section 222 so maybe some other area tried it!). That made me happy too.

Even if we don't win tommorrow its been a heck of a season.

From March 31st and watching Gagne blow his 1st game, only to come back to win the game (Which for some reason, everyone forgets this)

to after being swept in Boston to finnally wake up and go on a huge streak. To trading for the best pitcher in baseball and having him set the City Of Milwaukee on Fire.

To blowing the lead to regaining it and watching Prince and Braun carry the offense down the stretch, finally to the Sunday when we clinched. It has been the greatest summer of watching the Brewers in my life, so many memorys from this team. I will never forget this team or this summer or this site during all the times. And that is my silver lining.

Yovani Gallardo is really, really good. (Oh, and he is only 22 years old)

Sheets' injury makes him much more likely to accept a 1 year deal. (To prove he is healthy)

Gallardo, Sheets, Parra, Bush, and Suppan looks like a really good rotation to me.

I agree with all of that. Great post twobrewers. Except the whole Suppan thing, but we don't have a choice he is gonna be back like it or not and I just have to accept that.

Gallardo is going to be a flat out stud. Can't wait for a full season of him.

I'm proud of this team. They did something no Milwaukee Brewers team in 26 years could do.

This season was full of peaks and valleys, frustration and excitement, and countless memorable moments.

I'd like to thank everyone who made those moments possible, from Mark A. all the way down. We've got a lot to be proud of, and a lot to improve on. Does losing hurt? Of course it does, but I won't be bitter. I'll wear my wild card hat proudly (when I get it, lol), knowing that even though I'll come home tomorrow and there will be no Brewers game to entertain me after a long day at work, February is right around the corner and we'll all be 0-0 again reaching for that brass ring.

They made some money this year. Attanasio looks like he's willing to spend it. Losing free agents will free up salary to get some other folks.

actually, it's been reported on multiple occasions that the Brewers lost money this season.

Even though we won only 1 game and only played 4 total. Getting to see the Brewers, the team I love more then any other in any sport finally play in the postseason was one of the most fun (and maybe frustrating) things that has ever happened to me. I even took vacation days from work Wed, Thur and Fri this week to fully enjoy all the games. I like davego could get used to this, it was awesome. I can't wait till 2009.

They are getting closer to the Twins-Model, which is the only way we're going to survive.

I really wouldn't say they are following the Twin's model at all. We are aggressive with young callups and seem to value SLG over everything else and power pitchers. That is more or less exactly the opposite of how the Twins do it.
