Local Sports Figures Attend Thursday, January 24 Event

Woodland Hills, Calif. - Milwaukee Brewers pitcher and San Fernando

Valley native Jeff Suppan along with wife Dana announced today plans to

host a private launch party on Thursday, January 24, 2008 in celebration

of Soup's Grill, the couple's second owned and operated restaurant. The

event begins at 7:00PM and features an all-star line-up of guests

including: 2-time Cy Young Award winner Bret Saberhagen, '07 NL Rookie

of the Year Ryan Braun; Angels Outfielder and '06 AL All-Star Gary

Matthews Jr.; former pitcher and FSN West analyst Mark Gubicza and

Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio.

In a mission to create a sports oriented, family environment, the

Suppan's have brought Soup's Grill to the Valley. Incorporating themes

of America's past-time, Soup's Grill features a Major League Baseball

replica dugout and oversized baseball glove chairs where patrons can

dine. A sports fan's dream, Soup's Grill offers eleven high-definition

flat screen televisions and a remarkable collection of sports

memorabilia complete with authentic Busch Stadium seats.

"Dana and I have tried to create an experience the whole family can

enjoy. From our rooftop seating to our detailed menu and exceptional

service, we think this will be a long lasting relationship for everyone

that walks through our doors," said Suppan.

Soup's Grill, appropriately named after Jeff's longtime nickname, first

opened its doors on November 16, 2007 and boasts a menu that includes:

fresh soup and salads, signature cheesesteaks and Larry's chili - named

after Jeff's father. Soup's Grill also offers a full kid friendly menu.

About Jeff Suppan

After starring at Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, Jeff was a 2nd

round pick of the Boston Red Sox in the 1993 June draft. In 1999 Jeff

came into his own with the Kansas City Royals becoming an ace on the

staff pitching 200+ innings for the Royals in four consecutive seasons.

In 2004 Jeff returned to the National League and put together

back-to-back 16 win seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals. 2006 was a

magical year for Jeff and the Cards as they won the NL Central for the

3rd straight year. Jeff was named MVP of the NLCS and the Cardinals went

on to win the World Series. Last season Jeff signed with the Milwaukee

Brewers and his 12 wins were tied for the team lead as the Brew Crew

finished 2nd in the NL Central.
