When to make the transition?

T B0NE 10

Now that I'm completely bummed, deppressed, and devastated. Its time to raise the question. When is it time to switch to Brewers mode from Packers mode. This isnt just a mental thing, currently I have a Packers phone cover, when is it time to switch to the Brewers one. When is it time to switch from Packers to Brewers XBOX Live gamerpic? When is it time to switch from Packers computer wallpaper to Brewers?

What do you guys think?

The time may be now for all of us, but the time won't be for awhile for the media lovefest that will continue to fester on Milwaukee TV. Just watch, they will spend yet another two or three weeks interviewing players and analyzing everything from what they ate prior to the game and then follow Brett Favre around the golf course in Mississippi for awhile.

As much as I hate to say it, I am kind of glad the Packers lost. Now the media will be forced to cover news that actually matters to people. It is pretty sad that they spent 20-25 minutes of every 10pm newscast discussing the Packers and just a mere 2 minutes discussing the Presidential primaries, which will matter more to us in the next four years. And they wonder why some Wisconsin citizens are poorly informed on issues.

Not just yet.. People have said to me all day, let it go it was a good season. NO! I compare this Packers season to a girl that I was madly in love with. We dated since the April draft. At first things went slowly but I loved her from the start. After awhile I thought she was going to be "the one" for me. For the next 8-9 months we had our ups and downs but mostly all ups. Things were looking so good, then all of a sudden, she dumps me. Its over just like that. I'm left lost, looking for answers on how things went so wrong so fast...I need some time to get over her, I think it might take about a month.

Umm...so, what would watching the Super Bowl be considered? Are you watching her cheat on you or something?

Other than that, I agree with your analogy. It takes time, and because this season went longer, that time dangerously approaches time that should be spent on the Brewers. Once the Super Bowl is over, you officially make the switch. Take your time, T Bone. I'm sure we'll find ourselves wanting to throw things during the Super Bowl because we feel cheated, but once it's over, the baseball season begins http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I was absolutely rooting for the Packers, but I'm not going to pretend I won't be relieved to see the local Packer coverage slowly die down. I get so sick of it.

And I'm always in Brewer mode. I spent more time here than any football site the past few months, and that was by a long shot.

I'm totally 100% fine with the concept of Packer coverage. But as the quantity increases, the quality decreases... big time. Lead stories--complete with teasers--about how Mike McCarthy pronounced "Glendale"? Come on.

As far as the question at hand... I'm not that seasonal about stuff like that. I have year around Packer clothing and I've been using the same Prince Fielder wallpaper for a couple of years.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

having the hot stove show on 1250 last night was so good. It was nice to hear some baseball talk. The first thing i said to my friends when Tynes Field Goal went through that its officially baseball season. I don't even start thinking packers until the brewers pitch their last pitch. I think minus watching the super bowl its very good to go into "brewer mode" now though i really never left it.

I have so much baseball withdrawal this time of year. I was actually very excited to hear that they will be broadcasting the Caribbean WS on XM this year. I may not know half the players, but just to hear live baseball on the radio sooths my soul.

38 days until my family and I go to spring training. The only good thing about February, other than pitchers and catcher reporting, is that it's the shortest month of the year.

its such a boring time in baseball right now. all the big moves has been done, there are only a few rumors out there, we are 26 days still till pitchers and catchers report. Its a good thing i have college basketball to entertain me until spring training starts up. I also think the super bowl won't be that hard to watch. It will be 2 weeks since the packers lost and it will be much easier to stomach than it is right now.

I am pumped that packer season is over, as now newscasts can get back to pretending to tell me about relevant events in town as opposed to Brett Favre's favorite midnight snack 2 nights before the final practice before the NFC championship game.
