50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Wyclef Jean, Timbaland ...Steroids?

Beast Light

Are you serious?

I thought I heard something about this on the radio today but did not catch exactly what was said. I came home and looked it up and sure enough...

This is crazy. I always thought that 50 Cent was pretty pumped, especially when I saw pictures of him from 10 years ago.

There is sooooo much of this in the entertainment industry it is disgusting. How do you think guys like Will Smith put on 25 lbs of muscle to play Ali? Sylvester Stallone? They all have personal trainers, and those trainers know people who can get their hands on plenty of synthetic testosterone, HGH, Winstrol, whatever you think.

Sure their physique is all natural... and those babies that those women are having in their 40s are natural and not from "donated" (purchased) eggs from 20-year-old college students. Yeah, right.

I agree....and it's what I've been harping on for a long time. This is a pervasive issue. We are not past the PED era in sports because of testing. It's bigger than ever. The money in sports and the margin of making it or not making it being so small will always drive that issue. I thought Goose Gossage was being honest when asked last week about PED's.....he said that he might have taken them if they were available to him. They are available to everyone now. If you don't know where to find them....you're not looking.

It's pervasive not only in sports though....but everywhere. People take them to look better, as evidenced by the entertainment names coming out. People take them for anti-aging (I have a client on HGH and he swears by it). The stuff is everywhere.

Yeah, I thought that was hilarious. How do you refer to steroids as "performance-enhancing drugs" when being used by musicians. I think somewhere along the line that phrase lost it's meaning. Funny to read anyway. After first reading the line I checked to see if the article was a spoof or something.

This is exactly why I posted a while ago that it really ticks me off that Congress goes after baseball and professional wrestling while Hollywood just seems to get away with anything and everything.

Selig asked for the Mitchell report to be done.

How can Congress go after Hollywood? I am sure actors who buy drugs illegally will get prosecuted, but Hollywood is sort of an abstract entity.

The WWF was targeted because they were illegally distributing steroids, and their as a belief that their was a steroid culture directly due to Vince McMahon.

Hollywood studios pretty much have a don't ask, don't tell policy with steroids/HGH so their isn't much for Congress to go after accept individual stars who screw up and don't get the products "legally". Much like how modeling gets nagged for promoting bulemia/anorexia every few years but always bounces back, Hollywood won't do anything about it but publicly state how wrong they think it is.
