Piracy/Bittorrent/Game sharing

Recently we've had some posts/threads we've had to remove where people were looking to either distribute or trade games/other events. We can not facilitate this sort of thing, as it is a breach of copyright laws, and it's not something I'm willing to be a party of. I'm not going to dictate what people do between themselves offline, but any allusions to trading copyrighted materials here in the fan forum is something we can't be associated with.

We will be issuing strikes for each instance where this occurs. I'm sorry to have to be a wet blanket on this type of stuff, but it's better to do that than to risk Brewerfan.net being involved in any legal matters which would result in me shutting down the site. I hope you all understand this.

Thanks,

Brian

just clarifying,

are you saying we can not PM other members that may have recorded a "Brewers Replay" or seven and then put them on a DVD(s) for me when I paid that person, since I live way, way far away from Wisconsin and can't see these episodes? Or is this still allowed?

Just wondering for the potential future--If and When the Brewers Championship Parade is on, I, uh, would like a copy.

I know we're kinda just playing around here and I totally understand Brian's sentiment about sharing stuff.

I'm just ticked mostly at Directv's misadventure's of not broadcasting FSN-WI on a regular basis for those of us out of market. I mean, I can see TONS of Yankee, Red Sox, Tigers, Indians, whoever else highlights during the off-season (including other shows) but none of the Wisconsin stuff because DTV blows so bad in this avenue.

I suppose I shouldn't "take it out" on anybody but I get really ticked that I can't see any of this stuff and I've had to "resort" to asking a relative or a BF.net member to record some stuff for me.

Hey MLB, if you're reading this, I would have paid YOU for the privilege of watching some Brewers classic games if you had given me the chance! But no! I had to pay a stranger instead!

Boy, I've had too many beers in too short of time! I'm rambling about something that effects me about 0.0000001% of my time each year.
