a young Taint McFadden

I look forward to someday seeing a photo of the real Taint McFadden. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but if you actually look up Taint McFadden on Google, the first link is to Homer's post in the drunk thread.

As for the picture, it looks like one of the young guys from the Manhattan Project, but not Oppenheimer.

I'm a Lovecraft fan and I'd never have guessed it. It fits my image of him though.

His prose style may be somewhat of a poor man's Poe, but the guy was nothing if not full of big and creepy ideas. I can't think of a more important American horror writer between Poe and King.

If only we could get people from all over to look up this name, what a great marketing opportunity it could be.

by the way, should I be knowing who Taint McFadden is?

Is Taint McFadden important?

Is Taint McFadden somebody who is on Brewerfan a lot?

Will repeating the name Taint McFadden make THIS post #1 on Google?

Shirley Jackson perhaps -- Lovecraft is my favorite though.

I thought about Jackson. Decided she's probably the best of those, but the others are technically more important and influential.

BTW, I speak from hospital experience, Lovecraft + morphine goes together like peanut butter and chocolate.

I feel bad now for not giving more of a legitimate effort.

No problemo, Gyp. I think you got Shirley Jackson when I put her up. I figured you'd get H.P. Lovecraft in your sleep. -- If you haven't read any of his work, pick up a book, and thank me later.

Yeah -- I certainly wouldn't argue against this position. BTW -- One of Lovecraft's editors/collaborators was a UW-Madison alum, and I think worked at the Capital Times, I forget his name though.

Yowza! Peanut Butter + Morphine is probably the best combination of the 4 elements I would argue. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
