The Dog Ate My Baseball

I find this kinda funny and I really dont understand why this thing wasnt at the HOF or at least in a case but...

 

Jonathan Papelbon said his dog ate the ball from the final out of the 2007 World Series.

"My dog ate it," Papelbon said. "He plays with baseballs like they are his toys. His name is Boss. He jumped up one day on the counter and snatched it. He likes rawhide. He tore that thing to pieces. Nobody knows that. I'll keep what's left of it." It would have been more fitting if the dog was named Mientkiewicz.
