Another Spears on the way, but it's not Britney's!

This just in.... the Spears' family is now America's most dysfunctional family since the Jackson Five broke up in the 1980's. I can just see it now when Britney Spears hits 35 and has a tatoo on her chest and looks obese as she sits at the end of the bar trying to find a younger guy to hang out with while Jamie-Lynn Spears is onto baby No. 3 when she is 25 and rumors start to swirl that she was in "adult film" with Aaron Carter.

Why isn't there a reality show dedicated to this? I can just see it now: "Growing up Spears: Down on the Louisiana Range"

Isn't it sad that during the "rival teenybopping days" people would think Christina Aguilera was dysfunctional while Britney was the "angel." My how times have changed. Now Aguilera seems to be down to earth and actually relies more on her voice than anything Britney has ever done.

Aguilera always had the better voice; Britney had better handlers / marketing. Then Britney fired the people responsible for crafting that image, got married (twice, don't forget), put out that godawful reality show on a last-place TV network, etc., etc. Basically, did anything but work on her next album....while spending anything she might still have from her previous work.

(To this day, I still think Britney's handlers had her set-up to transition into an actress in romantic comedies. Now those roles mostly go to either Jessica Simpson or Mandy Moore.)

Christina, by contrast, had her "dirrrty" phase, but cleaned up very well, and never really stopped making music.

As for the younger Spears....it's like watching a train as the first wheel starts to lift off the track. You can just tell it's going to wreck, but one still has to hope for the best. (At least Britney had the money to support a family...)

The younger Britney is really hot. Can I say that about a 16 year old?

Yeah I think age of consent is 16 in some states - maybe even younger in a few.

With this news, now every Major Network news outlet is turning it into a "teen pregnancy trend" story. I watched FoxNews, Headline News and MSNBC and they had panelists discussing this and how parents should "talk to their children" about this story.

This is not a political comment, but rather a ridiculous question a member asked that Presidential candidate Huckabee about the news of the younger Spears being pregnant. He was glad that "she is keeping the baby." What else is a candidate going to say that is not even at the top of the issues? Ridiculous, just plain ridiculous and even comical.

Personally, Jamie Lynn is cute... but the older I get the more and more the 16 year olds of today look like they are 12.

As a media member called the Spears family a "bunch of pinheads." I couldn't agree more. Lynne Spears should not write the book on proper motherhood of female teen idols. If anything, I'd rather read a book written by Billy Ray Cyrus. At least Cyrus tries to be a respectable father figure (well except for his painful song, "Achy Breaky Heart")

Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old "Zoey 101" star and sister of Britney, tells OK! magazine that she's pregnant and that the father is her longtime boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.

At 16, what does a 'longtime boyfriend' mean? 3-4 months?

I read they have been together for four years.

I applaud her decision to keep the baby, as opposed to putting her cute body/ career/ public opinion first. I know at 16 I was no angel, and I doubt many people criticizing were either. I'm just glad I never had to deal with a camera on me when I was a teenager to my early twenties. At least she has the money to take care of her child, and hopefully she'll be a better mother than her sister. It's unfortunate that it seems it will cost her the show and the related movie.

Apparently, the boyfriend may be up for statutory:

My favorite Jamie Lynn quote to date:

"I have a great mom and she has raised three kids, so if I take lessons from her, I think I'll be great."
