What are YOU doing for Christmas (or the holidays, for the PC...)

BuckyTuba

So I'm wondering what all of you are doing for Christmas or any other holiday you're celebrating this season (I didn't mean to offend anyone with this sentence!).

If you're lucky like me, you'll be stuck working night shift rolling into Christmas Day and then back to work for night shift Christmas Day Night. Maybe I'll go looking for Santa on the roof of the Waste Processing Building.

Are you traveling? Are you visiting family? Are you going to the in-laws? (bleh)

Kenosha on Christmas Eve. Waunakee on Christmas Day. A lot of holiday socialness (and 200+ miles on the car) packed into about 30 hours...followed by resuming the state's work at 7:30 AM on the 26th. This is the dark side of having a staff of college students: I can't take 'normal' times off.

I've spent exactly one Christmas Eve 'at home' in the last 18 years, and that was due to a flu bug hitting one side of the family (not us). Spending so much of it in the car is a drag, but at least this year we have a CD changer now. And I am grateful for the long weekends the placement of this year's holidays provides.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

for the first time ever, both my wife's family and my family will be traveling down to AZ at the same time for the holidays. Our house is going to be full. My wife and I even gave up our bed (ugh!) to her parents--we're sleeping in a spare bedroom on an air mattress. For a week. Did I mention "ugh!" yet?

But it will be good to have all our family together for once. And we're not doing much in the line of gifts either so it'll hopefully be a bit more special.

My relatives on Sat the 22nd. My wife's immediate family on Sun the 23rd. My immediate family on Christmas Eve. My wife's relatives on Christmas Day. 4 days in a row, but at least there aren't any days with 2 parties like many years.
