Unfortunately, this probably takes the Dodgers out of the market for starting pitching.

Thoughts:

 

1. Given the Dodger's Home Park, Kuroda has a better than normal chance of justifying his contract.

 

2. One would think the teams' Home Field would have some sway in a pitcher's decision of who to play for. I only say 'some' because apparently there are always eleven or twelve crazies who pitch in Coors Field every year.

 

3. I officially wouldn't mind if we were ultimately unable to trade our surplus SP for upgrades elsewhere. That would mean that we'd have at least one or two Long Relief options in our Bullpen who could also start in a pinch should injuries decimate the rotation again.
