Latest from MLB.com:

This could end up being a silly update, as Ron Acuna, the featured player, along with J.C. Boscan, are minor league free agents. They are listed as such at Baseball America, and the information concerning current Brewer rosters that we have access to here at Brewerfan lists neither. We'll ask specifically about Acuna, but it's clear that the writers who have been compiling these "update" lists as Specials to MLB.com are not directly associated with Brewer coverage, as Adam McCalvy has been.

Corey Thurman now up to 205 innings for the year, first year back after injury issues -- you'd have to add up several prior seasons to reach that total:

I really hope Corey Thurman gets a long look in the big league rotation next year. We were lucky to be the team to sign him after his injury issues. He still has the chance to be a very good pitcher in the bigs.

If he would have eligible for the Power 50 this year, he wouldn't have been too low.

From new poster "moundvisit" in an earlier post:

I see that Justin Lehr, Luther Hackman, and Dennis Sarfate are playing together in Hermosillo, Mexico. These guys are dealing. Is Justin still with the Brewers? Sarfate has gone 8 1/3 innings, 1 hit, 1 walk, 12 K's. No runs. Thats impressive. Lehr is 5-1 with a 3.40 era, and Hackman is doing well now that he is in the pen. Isn't that a lot of throwing for Sarfate?

Hackman could definitely prove to be a nice little surprise bullpen arm in Milwaukee some time in '07, Lehr was a nice minor league free agent signee for the Mariners this winter. And yes, an awfully long February through December non-stop season for Dennis thus far, but he's been dealing in the AFL and Mexico, so no harm, no foul.

Welcome to the forums, mound...

Considering Dennis Sarfate was in big-league camp last year, and that he pitched in the AFL, he has been non-stop for nearly a calendar year, and pitchers and catchers report to Maryvale in less than a month.

Impressive and perhaps fool-hardy at the same time...
