Ben Broussard to TEX, Tug Hulett to SEA

Maybe not the BIGGEST trade ever.. BUT i wanted to make one of these.

Broussard was a pretty solid player for a number of years with Cleveland, registering an OPS+ of 100 or more every year with them as a full time player. He could be a really good pickup for nothing and a very reasonable salary. It could certainly be argued that Sexson is not worth $12M per year more than Broussard, in 2007 or 2006. I'd certainly for $15M rather have Broussard and a good starting pitcher than Sexson.

SEA tried to give Sexson away last year, and offered to pay half his salary, and still had no takers.

 

The Mariners do not seem to understand "sunk cost".

Does this mean Sexson will be given another chance to rebound from last year? or will Seattle look for other alternatives. they kept saying last year that Sexson always starts out slow and will get hot. he never did.
