Ryan Houston

Toronto cleared a spot on it's roster by releasing a relief pitcher named Ryan Houston. He's 28 and posted decent though not spectacular AAA numbers and overall pretty decent minor league numbers. He's been pretty lights out in Venezualan Winter League allowing 1 ER in 15 innings. He was drafted during Gord Ash tenure. Might be a guy worth adding to bullpen arms group.

Checked his 2007 splits at Syracuse. Was very tough on righthanders who only managed a paltry .608 OPS against him. If I had to guess without seeing him, he might be a sidearmer. Could be righthanded version of a LOOGY.
