Brewer Minor League Pitcher Throws The Gyroball?

I have never heard this brought up on the site during any of the conversation on the gyroball, but i picked this out of a sporting news article on the mythical pitch

 

Steve Palazzolo, a Brewers minor leaguer who learned the gyroball from [Will] Carroll, also says it is real but acknowledges he has never thrown one in a game.

 

"It's a real pitch, and it's effective when it's thrown properly," he [Palazzolo] says. "But I don't know if it's going to be groundbreaking or revolutionary. It would take someone learning to master it."

 

Obviously the existance of this pitch has long been debated on this site, but I thought some people might find this tidbit interesting to say the least.

I read that article this week as well, but wouldn't throwing it like they said hurt ? Kind of like a scew ball?

Sounds interesting, but if it does become a regular pitch will probably only be used by a handful of pitchers regularly, like the knuckleball.
