WASH signs Ray King... Latest: Nats purchase contract (reply #33)

Not to argue semantics, but shouldn't the thread title be "King signs with Nats"? The only team he could have re-signed with was Milwaukee, as he finished the season as a Brewer. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

that sucks, i thought that he should have been back, if Yost would use him as a lefty specialist, he could be effective, but instead he used him in full innings last year.

Speaking of him as a LOOGY I remember his first appearance with the Brewers this year. It was against Houston and he gave up 2 homers to lefties (one was Luke Scott, sorry man crushhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ) and then he retired 3 righties in a row.

I think that it could be "re-signs" if he did in fact sign with Washington. (I don't remember how they acquired him) If he signed with them in the past, he could re-sign with them now. But what difference, I suppose? I'm just bored and waiting for more rumors to materialize. Anyone else feel like they've been living on BF.net lately? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Looks we see have Choate and Setter as the lefties in the pen

Yeah and SHOUSE, Parra or Cappy will be in the Bullpen(unless one gets traded)...

Plus Ray King was forced to pitch to 3 batters when it was Lefty- Righty- Lefty up in the inning...Yost did not want to have to use 3 BP arms in one inning..

I'm not sure why Sarfate is linked to King re-signing with Washington?

Sarfate was designated for assignment when we got King. We didn't trade King for him, but we needed to clear a spot on the 40 man for King and the Crew picked Sarfate.

Didn't Sarafate just get suspended for HGH, steroids or whatever? I don't think it's much of a loss if you want my opinion. (for what that's worth)

I have to point out that link is to the Denver Post. They are not a creditable. They go to Message Boards like this one all the time looking for rumors that someone might post and they report it as the truth.

Trust me they do it all the time and I would not belive he has return to Washington entell you find it from another sports site.

Is there any link that Sarfate tested positive for anything? I really don't think it's fair to throw around accusations without any support. Not a great idea in my mind.

I thought we traded Dennis Sarfate to Houston for Munson.... and Sarfate has not been suspended for HGH otherwise the Astro fans would have been talking about him being suspended as opposed to him possibly being their Closer(well thats what the fans want anyway)
