If Suppan was a free agent this year

NYChez

How close to 3 years / $35 million (the amount the Brewers owe Suppan) would he get?

In other words, if we needed more cash to sign Sheets with (and to spend on relievers this year), is it feasible to trade Suppan without having to add a lot of cash to the deal?

Suppan did throw over 200 innings again last year, and he did a pretty good job early in the year and late in the year. He probably would have done well in the playoffs. With the mediocre options out there, I wonder if this is possible.
