basement cleaning / readers digest

Getpaddled

My grandpa passed away not to long ago and my G-ma wanted me to come over and help her get rid of a lot of stuff in her basement. So yesterday I did just that. We tossed out a lot of junk and of course kept stuff that I thought might be worth something. We came across a bunch of boxes filled with readers digest..... she has every issure of readers digest from the 1940's to I think around the early 1990's Should I toss these...? are they worth something? I dont know what to do with them, All i know is its heavy and takes up to much of my closet.

Libraries are regularly approached by people who want to donate Reader's Digests (and especially those dreadful Condensed Books). I have to say that I'll be surprised if you can find a taker. Ebay's worth a try, though you may have better success marketing only the older years.

Otherwise, I hope your grandparents' city takes paper for recycling, or has a business that does. Sorry to hear about your grandfather, too.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
