I bought something today that my brother promptly made sure I regretted. You tell me.

Game used Kevin Reimer bat from his time with the Brewers. The bats been sitting there for over a year for $35. Today I got him to come down to $20. I know, Kevin Reimer -but I figure just about any bat is worth $20.

Nothing too fancy like we've seen above, but it's mine and is mostly of guys from my childhood. That Cooper 'What's Brewing?' is probably my favorite item.

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

I just thought I would bring this thread a bump since I need a little help deciding how to finish my Brewers display. I have been collecting things as I go and finally built a display to my liking. The thing is, I am trying to figure out what to add to it.

The top shelf I want to put bobbleheads. The Corey Hart in the middle I am getting rid of and I don't know if I will keep the Podsednik and Capuano. I was thinking Braun, Hoffman, Hardy, Hart, Fielder, and Weeks all SGA. That leaves me with two spots if I don't keep the Podsednik and Capuano. Does Cirillo have a bobblehead? Who else can I put in its place?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32449.jpg

The next shelf down for the mini bobbleheads I am keeping as is. The next one down I want to replace the helmet with a game used one. Does the home plate store accept gift certificates? I remember a couple years ago I could use gift certificates anywhere in the stadium but don't know if they ended up changing that rule at all. I was thinking of buying the Mitch Stetter helmet they have for $200. It is still there and he is my favorite player.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32450.jpg

The shelf below that are letters from a Mat Gamel jersey and each letter is autographed. I am keeping that as is. Below that are my bats. This is a work in progress since its a lot more expensive for me. Right now I have a Hardy signed bat, Jenkins game used bat, Uecker signed mother days bat, Hart game used bat, Gamel and Salome signed mother days bat, Cirillo signed game used bat, a blank mother days bat, and a Felix Pie signed game used bat. I want to replace the non-game used bats as I go. Will it look better to go blonde and black colored bats every other or have the blonde bats on one side and black bats on the other? I also want to put signed balls in front of the bats. That will be a work in progress also since I want to get them signed in person.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v216/foster1087/SNV32451.jpg

All in all, just wanted to show my display. I consider it halfway decent for a kid of my age. I was just thinking of your opinions for bobbleheads to replace and if the Miller Park stores accepts gift certificates. Thanks.

Brew Crew: Topps made them this year for cards and had each letter signed by the player. I bought each one individually off Ebay for a total of maybe $60-$70. Well worth it in my opinion since it looks great and probably the most unique thing out of everything besides the Brewers shoe(I posted last March with only Corey Hart and Yo and now am up to about 20 signatures total).

Peavey: Its too bad that the autographs are very small. They made an Angel Salome one also but they spelt his name wrong. They have it spelt Solome and each one can be had for about $4 + shipping. I got my set for about $30 but got to figure out where to display it. Very cool cards though!

Wow, I knew there were cards for Angel out there, but didn't realize there were no A's. You'd have thought that at some point Angel would have questioned why he wasn't signing any. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

So, does anyone have any pictures of their den/basement with all their sports stuff in it? I will hopefully have one by the end of the year and am looking for ideas on how to design the lower level. Everything in here is pretty close up, which is great, but I'd like to see some of how the room is laid out.

I'm slowly working on my room now. I really made a push to get all my bobbleheads up since that took the longest. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to build a shelving unit for all my signed balls, and other stuff. Hopefully I will find time this week. I just have too much stuff going on.

I know how it is...being in a hurry to get it all up. I'm sure you'll enjoy the room. Is there a TV?

Now..the constructive somewhat criticism....

I would paint the brackets for your shelves the same as the wall color and fill in the screw holes.

Are your 8x10's matted? If they are not, and pressed against the glass of the frame over time when you take the pictures the autograh will adhesve itself to the glass. You can used an acid free plexiglass for that.

What kind of light to you have. Is there any sunlight or and flourescent light. Overtime things will fade. Used incandescent light bulbs.

Have a good time with th room, and make sure you have room to expand it. Thats the fun of it anyway.

None of my pictures are matted, how much does it cost to get that done approximately? I'm only renting here, and hoping to buy a home by the end fo this lease, so while I'll still add to my collection, I probably won't paint the brackets until I have a permanent room. I have normal lightbulbs in the room, with one of those glass cover/shades. There's one window in the room, but it's a polish flat, so there isn't a lot of sunlight that gets in there.
