With regards to taking on new projects, I'm usually pretty hesitant to do so for a number of reasons. But out of curiosity, what players are you guys looking for? Also, this would probably be a conversation better suited for the in boxes.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I got it. I had the poster as a kid and abused the heck out of it. Little did I know at the time what a rare collectors item it would become. To get another one - signed - was amazing.

I never posted any pictures of my stuff because it had been primarily in boxes. Well, I've recently moved and have started to unearth some of it. I haven't put up any of my pictures yet, or the majority of the baseballs that I've got either. Here's a link to my photobucket account if you'd like to get a better look w/some descriptions as well:

I didn't want to start a whole new thread on this, and I figured many people here could help me out.

I am heading to spring training this year and would like to get a few autographs. I have always preferred autographed bats to balls.

Where can I get a nice bat for signatures? (It doesn't have to be like a custom player bat - but something nice, and maybe black)

And how nice/long do those metallic pens hold for autographs?

Thanks in advance.

tnweill, Unreal collection. Just your ball and bats are probably the collection of lifetime. Two Brewers go to Burgharts out in Brookfield. They have really nice wood bats from anywhere in between 30 and 50 bucks. And just get a gold or silver paint pen available from any craf store walmart walgreens, etc.

i dont know if i would call burgharts or dunhams or any store bought bat thats autographed the collection of a lifetime. but its nice.
What's that suppose to mean? There is nothing wrong with someone buying a replica store bought bat and getting it signed.

TwoBrewers, if your looking for a game used bat to take with you I can help you out. I bought a couple dozen last spring and still have some unsigned. I don't think I have anymore blond or black bats left, but I do have some red/brown ones left. In box me if your interested.

it means that a store bought bats are not the collection of a lifetime. he has a VERY nice collection and i love the display cases. that makes his collection that much better. his team signed balls, 82 signed balls, his braves balls are a collection of a lifetime. the bats look boring to me. they are nice dont get me wrong just not that impressed with the bats.

However it may be the collection of a lifetime to the collector.

I only wish my auto'd bats were game used. I don't have the money or I haven't been lucky enough to get one. I'm not going to say my bats don't mean anything, but they would mean a whole lot more if they were game used. Anyone can get a Prince autograph on a bat, not everyone has a prince autograph on his game used bat

I like getting my own pictures signed rather than buying them in a store. Sure they aren't professional pictures but they mean more to me.

cweber you are correct. they may be the collection of a lifetime to that collector but i was talking about the comment zingshiem made. anyone can get it, and that was my point. like jason said it would mean more if it were game used and more rare. we all have the signed store bats including myself. in my opinion a collection of a lifetime would be not be common items that everyone has. for example bobbleheads, everyone has them and they are a common part of all our collections. i have an 82 al champs champagne bottle signed by yount and moore. that is uncommon and have yet to see another person with one. its the unique items that make a collection of a lifetime.

I took one look at your 8x10 collection last year and ran to the store to buy a new camera.
