The question was asked of DM on WTMJ this morning if Braun would move to LF. Melvin's answer was that Braun said he felt he could play 3B or LF and he's willing to do what is best for the team if they can trade for a guy or sign a free agent. Lowell to me, isn't the guy. Who would be?

Funny thing was, while interviewed on WTMJ, the question the precipitated the discussion about Braun to LF was "would A-Rod play short or third"? DM answered with third, and that's where the Braun to left discussion came up. Melvin has negotiated with Boras before....is it a possibility???

The benefits of moving out of Dolphins Stadium and into Fenway Park helped that, I suppose. I don't see Lowell hitting anywhere near as well with the Yankees as he did with the Red Sox. Fenway Park was a perfect place for a guy like Lowell -- he could just spend all day banging doubles off the Green Monster. I guess Lowell at first beats Doug Mientkiewicz and Shelley Duncan, though.

The Yankees have offered the World Series MVP a four-year deal, worth $50 million to $55 million, according to Roche. But they would like him to play first base, if they re-sign Alex Rodriguez to play third.

Wow, that's just moronic. Paying that much for a career .812 OPS hitter at FIRST BASE, who will be 37 at the end of the deal. Wow.

Yep

Lowell has always been a doubles hitting machine, Fenway was perfect for him. Yankee stadium is just the reverse, very deep in the left/left center ally. Alot of those doubles he hit off the Green Monster will end up being long fly outs at Yankee Stadium.
