What a shame.

I was in a similar accident. I was trailering a $200,000 Ferrari in a big pickup from Ft. Lauderdale. Heading back to Wisconsin, I didn't even make it to Jacksonville when trouble hit. It was evening and my father was driving. We were conversing when I noticed something in the corner of my eye. It was a wheel & tire that had come off of a car in the oncoming lane. It was bouncing toward our truck. I yelled to my dad "Look out!!!", but it was too late to make an evasive manuvre in such a large rig. I ducked because it looked as if the wheel was coming straight for us. Luckily the wheel hit the front grille and worked underneath the truck and the trailer. It made some horible sounds and we pulled over immediately. We got out to chek out the truck and make sure the car was OK. Everything seemed alright. And I walked back and actually found the wheel that hit us. So we hit the road again. It really didn't hit me how close we came to dying that night.

Fast forward to Macon, Georgia. The transmission goes out on the truck from the damage revieved. We were stuck in a hotel in Macon for three days while the transmission got replaced. Nothing to eat but Waffle House.
