very important DISH network question

Just got the satellite last week and noticed that my FSN north channel is pretty much showing all Minnesota stuff. I live in Madison, so its not like I should be getting this over Wisconsin. Has anyone else had this problem. is it easy to change this? When I called them they told me i should be getting Bucks and Brewers games. I could care less about the Bucks, but come April if i'm getting twins games, heads are gonna roll. anyone else ever have this problem?

I have Direct TV -- but I have a situation similar to yours -- what they do, is that they activate additional channels for alternate programming,

so for example FSNorth is on channel 641 -- and FSNWI is on channel 642 -- The only time that 642 is not dead air is when the Bucks/Badgers/Brewers

play.

What sucks is that I only have FSWI for gametime programming -- I assume that there are some coaches shows etc. that I am missing out on.

I "Think" Dish is similar.

I wanted to revive this thread as I just got the Dish network in the Madison area and noticed, like others, the Fox Sports North feed is always Minnesota programming. Didn't bother me terribly because I knew the Bucks feed comes through on the alternate programming, and figured they would do the same with the Brewer games, which based on others' responses appears to be the case. However, I was working out at the gym the other day and noticed they had Brewers classics being rebroadcasted on FSN, which got me a little upset as, at least to my knowledge, I can't watch these at my home. Is there any way to get the FSN Wisconsin feed through the Dish network other than Brewer games only, or are you always stuck with the Minnesota programming? Sorry if this has already been discussed in a more recent thread.

and by the way, the Brewers classic game really got me excited about the upcoming season.

IIRC, you can get the programming by buying the "Sports Pack" tier of programming. At least, that's how it was with DirecTV. I eventually dumped that tier because I never watched anything but the live games but when I had it, it had all the programming for all the regional sports networks (minus live games that were covered by pay-per-view packages like Extra Innings, League Pass, etc.). At that time, they didn't include the Fox Sports Wisconsin stuff because that didn't exist yet but now that it's a separate channel, I bet it would be covered. OTOH, maybe not, because why isn't it included as the main FSN for people in Wisconsin?

edit: I just looked it up and it appears that DirecTV and Dish Network only have FSN Wisconsin on during Brewers and Bucks games, no matter where in Wisconsin you live. That seems stupid because when I had that Sports Pack they had every other little regional sports network that aired infomercials and the best damn sports show for 20 hours each day. Now that FS Wisconsin actually airs other things, they don't carry it? Weak.
