Austin Kearns?

I know that this has been brought up by someone before, but Austin Kearns would be a perfect fit for this team. He is solid defensivly, had 9 assists last year, and played in 158 games, and is very dependable. He had a .355 .OBP in 2007, and a .371 in 2006. Washington would probably want prospects, it would also be nice to get a bullpen arm out of the deal as well. Of course, I find it a priority to improve the defense, so I would put Kearns in right, Hart in center, Braun in left, and Hall at third. I think this would get it done:

MIL gets:

A. Kearns

J. Rauch

WAS gets:

T. Gwynn

A. Escobar

Z. Jackson

cash considerations (if need be)

I know that they would deal him, that organization is not "win-now" and they won't be for a while, he is available, put a .374 .OBP of Weeks and a .350+ .OBP of Kearns in front of Braun and Fielder and Hart, this team is dangerous. Plus Rauch would help out the pen.

It makes a lot of sense to me, if Melvin doesn't get Luke Scott, he needs to get Kearns.
