It's cool in a George Jetson sorta retro thing, which is an interesting contradiction in and of itself.

I don't like the warped letters on the top one, but the middle one's cool.

Not a big fan, but it's probably an upgrade to what they had already. I'm super picky when it comes to this stuff, just because I do this kind of a stuff for a living.

 

I agree with TC in that I don't like the warped letters on the first logo. I think it would have been much stronger without the warped effect. There's also too much going on, with a rocket ship, flame burst, star, orbit thingy and a tiny baseball.

 

I disagree with TC in that I think the middle logo is actually worse than the first. It reminds me too much of Helena's logo from several years ago for some reason and just looks rather stale, and I prefer that type faces are carried over from one version of a logo to another with the simple premise that good design repeats itself (the "H" is not the same font as "Stars," which I believe is serpentine).

 

The bursting star logo on the bottom is kind of snappy, but all three are severely lacking any tie to the game of baesball. Having a small baseball placed where it is on the top logo looks like an afterthought.

These all kind of look like something you'd see from one of those games a few years back when they used "future jerseys." Not a big fan, but check back with me in the clean, sterile world of 2035.

I dunno where I fall on those. My first reaction is that I don't like them, but I said that to the DBacks' new look, and really like their garb now.

I really like the one with their name. Not really unique, but I think the kids and young folks will like' em.

Somehow I'm tempted to make a joke about the warped letters in the first logo that refers to the Jeffress thread.

I like that one pretty well though.

 

The orbit on the middle one bothers me though...shouldn't it go in front of the 'H' on the lower right? Now it's kind of Escheresque to me.

Don't forget, in the Star Wars Universe there is atmosphere in space.

Though I must admit, I like how in the Spaceship logo that the baseball is orbiting around nothing. Nothing like having a nihilist logo.

I quickly altered the Stars logo, simplifying it and showing what it could look like minus the warped effect and minus a few of the other "busy" elements (I know these images are trademarked, so I hope the Stars don't mind that I took the liberty to change these a little, fully recognizing that they aren't going to change what they came up with anyway):
