Dallas Cowboys are my team. Although I really like Payton Manning and enjoy watching the Colts play also.

Detroit Red Wings are my hockey team. Have been since '95. But I haven't watched a game since the strike.

UCLA is the college team I cheer for. When the Badgers finally made the Rose Bowl and had to play UCLA I was torn.

I'm surprised that people can like Notre Dame football http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/eek.gif

MLB: Since 2000 the A's have been my 2nd favorite MLB team. I was in love with Giambi, Tejada, Izzy, Dye, The Big Three, etc. I don't even care about most of them anymore, although I basically have a man crush on Barry Zito and was kind of sad when he signed with the Giants.

NFL: Probably the Titans cause Eddie George was/is one of my favorite non-Packers.

NBA: Don't follow it too much, but I'll basically root for any Western Conference team that isn't the Lakers or the Spurs. I like Kirilenko, Boozer and Deron Williams so I was pulling for the Jazz this past year.

NHL: Don't follow it too much but I've always liked the Maple Leafs and Mats Sundin.

NCAA Basketball: I'm a big fan of the Missouri Valley Conference so I always root for UNI, SIU, Creighton, Wichita State, etc. once it comes to the tournament.

NCAA Football: South Flordia (I'll admit it's only been since last year cause I did a dynasty with them on NCAA 07)

NCAA Baseball: Cal State Fullerton

I'm a big Buffalo Bills fan. I don't have any clue why either. The only thing I can think of is that they were always on TV and losing Super Bowls when I started getting into football. Last night brought back some painful memories.

The A's and the Red Sox.

The current Red Sox team is tough for me

I hate Boston fans and hate the Red Sox franchise,Curt Schilling is also one of my more hated athletes.I love nothing more than to see Boston fans suffer through any painful playoff loss, but i'm a huge fan of Manny and like Ortiz also.It cracks me up how Manny poses after his home runs and the goofy stuff he does in left field.IMO baseball needs more players with personality like Manny.

I still hope the Red Sox say make it to the World Series and lose in some heartbreaking fashion in game seven, but so long as Manny is on that team i'll watch and hope he provides some it's just Manny being Manny moments.

Do the D-backs count as an out-of-state team if I'm a cheesehead by birth, but now live in Arizona? I moved here four years before the D-backs premiered, and like the team a lot.

Other "favorites"--anyone who beats the Yankees (yay Cleveland!), the Arizona teams, especially colleges (kind of a home-state fan by circumstance and length of time here), and that's about it, I guess.

DIE-HARD BUCS Fan for life...

Became a bucs fan in 1977, all my friends were packer or vikings fans, so I rolled with a new team with cool uniforms... (the mind of a 7th grader...lol)

Anyway, it stuck, and winning the super bowl was my GREATEST moment as a sports fan in my entire life. I hope to see the brewers win the WS at some point, but that might just be a pipe dream...

The Rangers? eww...

My NHL team is the first place New York Islanders. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

That's about it for out of state teams though.

Haha both teams have odd gm's, but at least me team didn't sign a slightly above average goalie to a contract that expires when he is 50. Also the owner of the Islanders is nuts.

I forgot to mention Chelsea as my favorite non-Wisconsin soccer team.

Chelsea Walham Green Dog Track FC is the new Bolton.

I don't really have any second-favorite teams, so my only non-Wisconsin favorites would probably be St Cloud State in college sports (mostly hockey, they're D2 in everything else) and Fulham in English football. St Cloud is an obvious one because I went to school there. I started following Fulham because they always seemed to be signing American players, but eventually became a die-hard fan. I think I just love teams who always disappoint me.

NHL is a weird one for me, because I don't really have a favorite team. I followed the Blackhawks and the Wild for awhile, but never really felt like a fan. I did get married wearing a Canucks jersey, though!

Really? It does sound like you are a NHL/Hockey fan though..... Which Canucks jersey was it?

Yep, definitely an NHL fan, I just don't have a team. It was the 90s style with the skating puck. We got married right outside Miller Park last march. It was pretty informal (obviously), but people called me beforehand and asked what to wear, so I told them to wear whatever they want. I said that I'd either be in an ultra serious business suit or a hockey jersey...I went with the hockey jersey.

The Minnesota Wild surpassed the Bucks years ago and now they are sneaking up on the Packers for my second favorite sports team. I've never been a huge hockey guy, but I've lived in Minnesota so long now that the hockey-ness of the state has rubbed off on me, and I've really fallen in love with the Wild. I'm still working on the finer nuances of hockey, but unlike a few years ago I can easily spot offsides, penalties and offensive/defensive strategies.

And how couldn't you love a 6'7 Saskatoon native enforcer named Derek Boogaard?

Boogy!

Plus they have Marian Gaborik, pretty much the Prince Fielder of the NHL.

He has been more of the Ben Sheets of the NHL, started his career no problems, has all the potential, but has been side tracked by injuries the last few years.

I also wish Gaborik would get a coach that wasn't so defensive minded.

Gaborik is still just 25, and now that he's on a line with Demitra (and Walz... meh) and healthy, I think he's going to have another big year. I'd really like to see Koivu or Belanger man center there, but I suppose you have to spread out the talent a little.

And I wouldn't trade Lemaire for the world. He, Tremblay and Ramsey have done about all you could ask for out of a coaching staff. I wish the Brewers could be so lucky. They don't play pretty games, but they play solid defense even with the new rules adopted last season. If Gaborik, Demitra, Rolston, Bouchard and Koivu can build on last season offensively, this team has an excellent shot at going deep in the playoffs.
