Deep passionate hates

danzig6767
a few more things...slow drivers, people who drive the same speed in the left lane as the car in the right lane (I once was stuck for 20 miles on 94 West going 65 behind two cars that decided to make my life miserable by driving right next to each other and never budging), slow people on the sidewalks, extremely opinionated people, intolerant people, cocky people, stuck up people, FIB's, mosquitos, ticks, any bug that pesters but has no purpose, fake people...I have a lot of hates, I must be a terrible person.

There are tens of thousands of jobs in sports at all levels yet the billion dollar industry doesn't see fit to teach those they give scholarships to the necessary skills to be productive in their field of choice

Even if they did, the athletes probably wouldn't show up for class.

I know this is off topic, but I don't think athletes should be paid. First off, most of the schools are public universities, so their "salaries" would come from tax dollars. Second off, people seem to forget how much athletes save by getting full scholarships. Lets say a kid from California comes to UW on a football scholarship, he's saving close to $30,000 a year in tuition and room and board. That's more money than a lot of people make working full time jobs. So the school makes money off of football and basketball...its the exact same thing a business does. And I realize schools aren't business, but if they were they'd be a lot more efficient, that's for sure.

Getting back on topic....I hate it when people are completely unaware of their surroundings. Like at the grocery store, they park their cart in the middle of the aisle so no one can pass, then you walk all the way up to them and they are so engrossed in trying to decide what kind of ketchup to buy they don't even notice you until you say "excuse me".

And then they look at you like it's your fault that you're trying to get passed them. That really grinds my gears.

I have a passionate hate for the way Alex Trebek tries to use foreign accents when reading the Jeopardy answers.

Along the same lines I hate it when he gives a smart ass answer when the people don't know the answer and he makes it sound like he does. Of course you know the answer Alex, it's right in front of you!

--I have a passionate hatred for when people stop behind either the white line or another car at a stoplight, but they leave like 20 feet of room. Every other person in North Carolina does this.

--people who are going to turn right, but still stay in the left side of the lane so you can't get around.

--people who don't use their signals when not obviously turning

--people who talk on their cell phones while I'm trying to help them check out their videos

--people who don't say thank you

--people who play poker with an unlit cigarette in their mouth or go "all-in" every other turn

--loud chewers

--people who are walking down the street or a parking lot and won't move out of your way when you're right behind them

--any sort of outfit on a dog or especially cat

wow, reading this all back I sound like the kind of guy who would punch an elderly nun.

I don't know why all of a sudden these popped up all over the friggin city.....but I absolutely, positively HATE red, left turn arrows when the light (going straight) is green. You get like 5 seconds to turn left, then you get that stupid arrow, and even when no cars are coming from the other direction you still can't turn. I timed the light I get stuck at every day....because of that stupid arrow, you get 15 seconds to turn, and if you miss it, you have 1 minute and 45 seconds before it turns green again. Whoever thought of this idea probably thinks they are the smartest engineer in the entire world, but if i ever find them, I coming after them with the same crow I want to use to take out Derek Lee's knee with.

No doubt, I will be paying off grad school at $357 a month until I am 52. It would be over at 49, but my deep hatred, the new bill that doesn't allow lenders to give rate discounts, will make it more expensive/lengthy to pay off.
