Insects attack at Jacobs Field

Recommended Posts

yeah, that is pretty disgusting... i don't know how they would "delay the game" ... as (unless the wind picks up), the situation isn't going to get better.... and tomorrow is a getaway day so the series can continue Saturday in new York

Pretty much, they have no choice but to continue playing. I can play in hot, can play in cold, but i can't stand bugs. I'd be going rick ankiel right about now and give Chamberlain tons of credit for getting through that inning.

there really is no solution to keep gnats from circling your head--learned that working for the golf course several summers ago.

Divine intervention, I tells ya!

The powers-that-be (and I don't mean ESPN's George Bodenheimer and FoxSports' Ed Goren) are as tired of turning on the TV in October and seeing Jeter dive out of the way of inside pitches...and outside pitches...and pickoff attempts, from the batter's box, that He (or is it She?) said "Screw this. I'm sending a plague of bugs at them."

By the way, Ry, on HD, when I freeze-framed Jabba the Hutt Chamberlain, those gnats on his beefy neck looked like poppy seeds.

"So if this fruit's a Brewer's fan, his ass gotta be from Wisconsin...(or Chicago)."
