BTW, I'll keep score like I did last season. Scoring format is the same as an NCAA bracket: 1 point for Division Series, 2 points for Championship Series, 4 points for World Series.

Last season, we did horrible. Nobody had either World Series team even in the game.

Admittedly, I have no clue whatsoever. Here we go, I guess...

LDS:

LA Angels def. Boston, 3-2

NY Yankees def. Cleveland, 3-1

Colorado def. Philadelphia, 3-2

Chi Cubs def. Arizona, 3-1

LCS:

LA Angels def. NY Yankees, 4-3

Colorado def. Chi Cubs, 4-3 (heartbreak city for the Cubs, courtesy of another '93 expansion team)

WS:

LA Angels def. Colorado, 4-2

I really like the parity in the NL this year. Why not pick Colorado to win the pennant?

OK, so I picked the teams I like better rather than the ones I thought would win, but oh well.

I am hoping for a 8th different World Champion in 8 years though, the only team I wouldn't mind winning that would ruin that streak is the D-Backs which would still mean 6 different Champions in 6 years. Or the Yankees would make it 7 in 7 years, but who would want that.

I have to agree with Luke...if its Yankees vs Cubs, I might have to consider bodily harm. I seriously despise both teams and might actually have to go against everything I've stated for the last 10 years and root for the Yankees. I just couldn't bare to watch the Cubs celebrate, not to mention all of the ridiculous media hype they would get. Oh, and giving their loud-mouth fans something real to actually talk about. We'd be hearing about this title for the next 50 years....UGH

Red Sox over Angels, 3-2

Indians over Yankees, 3-2

Phillies over Rockies, 3-1

Diamondbacks over Cubs, 3-1

Red Sox over Indians, 4-2

Phillies over Diamondbacks, 4-1

Red Sox over Philles, 4-2

Just for kicks, I'll predict that J.D. Drew comes through with a World Series-winning walkoff single and all of New England acts like they didn't hate Drew all along. Such an event would also cause Phillies fans to despise Drew even more than they already do, which was previously thought to be impossible.

is this a contest or what? otherwise, I don't see the point of this. So we can show off to each other? At least make it interesting.

that said, I'll go:

CLE over NYY 3-1

ANA over BOS 3-2

ARZ over CHC 3-0 (I can hope)

PHI over COL 3-2

ARZ over PHI 4-3

ANA over CLE 4-3

ARZ over ANA 4-3

BAN VALPO BAN! (for that prediction of course)

I have a natural hatred of the Cubs

I have an exceptional hatred for both the NL East and the AL East

I think Grady Sizemore is a great player and therefore will pull for the Indians... Plus... I was at all three Indians-Angels games at MP. It would be rather cool to be a part of the trivia question: Who is the only World Series Champion to play regular season home games at another MLB team's home ballpark during a World Series Winning campaign?

Cleveland over NY (4)

Angels over BOS (3) - read- Boston= NYM

Arizona over sCrUBS (3)

Colorado over Philly (4) - I love chase utley, but have the city of Philly

Cleveland versus Colorado/Zona winner (its a toss up right now for me)

Cleveland Indians, 2007 World Series Champs............ The "Cleveland Indians of Milwaukee" of course http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
