Who is to blame for the collapse?

bthurley19

I'll try to be as objective as possible and try not to vent so this thread won't get locked. Let's have a vote.

A. Yost

B. Lack of quality in the bullpen besides Cordero.

C. Bill Hall, Geoff Jenkins, Damian Miller, Estrada etc. (lack of veteran hitting and leadership)

D. Team is just too young to win at this level.

E. Other (explain)

I'll go with C, because, without looking at stats, all the veterans seemed to underacheive. When you have a 23 year old MVP candidate and a ROY candidate you should make the playoffs.

B, kind of. The Starting Pitching was terrible this year, which was aided by a shaky, inconsistent bullpen (which was partially due to the SP's pitching poorly and never getting out of the 5th or 6th for days at a time). Very little lineup problems, IMO. The pen wasn't strong enough, but the rotation was incredibly disappointing, since 4/5 starters were disappointments this year.
