Monday is my birthday...

jaybird2001wi
...I have about 150 bucks budgeted for my quarter century (25th) birthday. What do I do to celebrate it? Strip clubs are out because some buddies of mine dragged me all through Milwaukee county (Border, Silk, Heartbreakers) last year. The worst part is, I want to get semi-sloshed and all my buddies got 9-5 jobs so they won't be able to join me. Any ideas?

have friends over, drink alittle with them, and after they leave, if you don't have to work the next day, get butt wasted by yourself...

Somehow, drinking alone got a bad rap. I actually think, it's just fine...

Answering to nobody but a hangover in the morning has its advantages...

Happy B Day anyway...

I'm not sure where to drink (two reasons, I don't drink and I haven't lived in Milwaukee for a few year), but let me wish you a happy birthday. I hope you find someplace fun to go and I hope you and your friends all have a good (and safe) time.

Go to the Casino and put it all down on black..no, wait red...no, no, no black. Yeah, definitly black.

Go to Dairyland and bet the 2-5 quinella all night. Go on Friday night, it's $1 beers and hot dogs. You can get good and buzzed on cheap beers, feed yourself and have a chance at making some cash on $26 worth of bets ($2/race x 13 races).

Edit-Weird, I just posted at 9:15 and my message jumped over three others that were already posted in this thread. Sorry to interrupt...

"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

First I would recommend celebrating your birthday on Saturday night instead of Monday night. This will eliminate those 9 to 5ers that will keep it a short night.

I am trying to think what I would want to do for my 25th (I turn 24 in January), and what would sound good to me... and right now just going to the nearest bar with the best bar games (pool, darts, Goldentee, shuffleboard, etc) and just get hammered with your buddies and play a bunch of bar games...

Then just cab it home!

What city/area do you live in???

I may have some good ideas if I knew this...

One-game playoff at Wrigley.

Best suggestion yet. Now if we could get that to actually happen....

I am in the minority here, I could care less about my B-day. Granted I dont drink and after working as a bouncer hate bars and drunk people(except drunk girls, to a point). I turn 30 in about 2 weeks and i could generally care less. Hell i didnt even go out on my 21st.

Wait until you're 41 like me...then you'll really care less about your b-day. In fact, you may not even want to get out of bed! http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/happy.gif

Same here. I grew up in a family of 16 with foster kids coming and going so birthdays were kind of impossible to celebrate.

As for the 25th how about locking yourself up and playing video games all night long. Not for the joy of it but after 25 resposibilities get greater and there will be less and less time to do it. Now that I peed all over your birthday joy have a great one. Truth be told life gets better as you get older. Well not too much older but older.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

Well, one still cares, just not in the same way. Instead of being excited, it's more like, crap one more year down the drain. http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/wink.gif

Just kidding, of course.

i went and saw the rentals on my 26th...concerts are fun...go to one

Odd coincidence, as I too saw the Rentals on 1st Ave in Minneapolis on my 26th b-day. This year, though, they came two weeks after my 27th - jerks.

Off subject, they put on a really good show and tickets were like $14 both times, but there was still nobody there. The GF and I were literally bellied-up to the stage without having to fight anyone for the spot.
