It is a little much to ask for a 90 loss team to sweep the Cubs, but we can hope anyway.

I'd take being 1 down with 3 to play if the Cubs lose and we win tomorrow.

So, it all comes down to this. A Cub win and Packer season officially begins. A loss and we live to fight another day (well at least tonight).

No -- the magic number is 3 -- so even if the Brewers lose and the Cubs win -- the Brewers will be alive Friday -- but then it has to be all Brewer wins and all Cubs losses until the end of the season.

Didn't know the game was on this afternoon. May have to get the school to turn it on (parent-teacher conferences today, so no students this afternoon).

Suppose I should have said effectively...at any rate, all I really want is to watch the Brewers instead of the Packers on Sunday (although I don't know what time the Packers play). Even if they lose, as long as that game counts I won't be disappointed. Well...it'll be a different kind of disappointment.

If the Cubs lose today that would hopefully be a huge emotional lift to the Crew. They will know where they stand before they play tonight.
