So, it would either be Villanueva, Gallardo on three days rest, or possibly Ben Sheets (wouldn't that be stunning) against either Jason Marquis, Steve Trachsel on three days rest or possibly Sean Marshall? I like those odds.

You know what is sad? I'd have way much more confidence in Villy than I would Sheets, lol.

Boy, things could really get interesting after tonight.

 

(On a related note, I am trying to teach my six-year old daughter who to root for, and who to boo. She's great so far -- she basically runs around the house saying, "Go Brewers, boo Cubs." But she's struggling with the concept of situational allegiance. She doesn't quite grasp the whole "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" concept as it relates to the Cubs-Fish and Cubs-Reds series.)

How many people are making it to the park tonight? I just posted this in yesterday's IGT, but it bears repeating, the park has been a blast these past two days. The energy and love in that place is the highest I've seen it all year. I'm thinking about going back tonight, even though I'm already going to 3 of the next 5. Its just been that good. If you're around, I'd suggest going.

I can't stop thinking that this is one of those games that absolutely kills us. We get on a mini roll, get a favorable match up (on fire brewers team at home with a stud pitcher against a banged up cardinals team with a below average pitcher), and then somehow come out and lay an egg. That mid-Ausgust homestand against St. Louis and Cincy comes to mind...

 

 

I can't even count how many times that has happened already this year. I just hope that things are different from this team who is on a mission and palying with a lot of energy and focus right now

I used to work with a guy named Bob Leever.

 

He had a beard for a long time, and a bad one at that.

 

He came into work one day with his beard shaved off, it took us about 10 minutes to come up with

 

Well, I shaved my face

Now, I am Bob Leever.

 

That has tainted that song for me since then.

 

This song sucks but....
