Ticket Stub Grading

Warriors76

Has anyone ever had a stub graded? I looked at PSA and their site is so horribly run that I couldn't find or figure anything out. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. I'm going to the Packer game next weekend and I'm hoping Favre can get 421 in Minnesota so I can get the stub graded.

Also, do they scan or tear tickets at the Dome? It looks like they just scan but I'm not positive.

Ugh. With all the bogus fees I would be blowing way more money than the value of the ticket. I don't collect cards so I would only use this one time. Are you getting your ticket graded? If you do would you be open to sending mine with your's (assuming you have a membership)? I would really appreciate it. Obviously I would pay you for mine.

Sorry I will not be getting my stub graded. I am just going to put the stub up on ebay with a program,if he breaks the record in MN.

Grading stubs is (IMO) just a money grab by the few companies that can authenticate and grade cards (reputably) and the many other that do with no industry weight behind them. Also keep in mind the grading service industry has been know for taking advantage of people - especially individual collectors. Seriously, do some research. At the very least go to a card show/store and look at their graded items. Remember that what you think a card (or in your case, ticket) should be graded at is rarely what it will be graded at.

If your absolutely set on getting something graded my only advice is to go with a reputable grader. I can't stress this enough. Going with a second rate grader is a waste of money and you'll regret it. You'll get a higher grade, but if won't mean anything.

By the way, I'm not trying to discourage you. I think graded items are a great. I just would hate to see you (or any bf.neters) be disappointed or lose money on something like this.

Dude, I know, but the whole grading industry is a money grab. If you have something that's a 10 should you really need some dorks at a company to verify that it's a 10? How is it any different from a crazed collector who knows his stuff and can tell something is a 9.5 or 10. All grading is a money grab. I've actually had things SIGNED IN PERSON and gotten them back as "likely inauthentic."

I just do it cus of the value factor and honestly I think it looks sweet when he it's sealed and graded. Hank Aaron's 715 and Bonds' 756 stubs are getting graded and selling. A player who is beloved like Favre, this is definitely worth it to me, but I am not gonna pay $100+ for it.

You have to be a board administrator to pull it off.

I saw 20fry's work in the Vent thread and couldn't resist. Because of page load times, it's not something we should do very often, and in cases where it does happen, it'll likely be temporary.

Enjoy it while it lasts! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
