Anyone big into editing and/or creating articles at Wikipedia ? I was bored at work today and created several articles. I realized it's also a good way to learn something.

Playing the Wiki game is pretty fun; you learn a ton of stuff. Last night I spent a few minutes reading up on Jimi Hendrix; fascinating!

I added one sentence to Chris Magruder's page. It was after an interview I heard with Doug Melvin and Melvin used Magruder has the baseline for describing the depth in the outfield this year.

I love doing that. Sometimes I read it a little too much, but it's so easy to go on weird trips through the articles, like you start reading about Ben Sheets, click on a few links and a few hours later you end up reading about the Battle of Blanchetaque.

I don't edit/create, but I do love reading wikipedia. As one of my groups on facebook says: "Wikipedia is wiki-awesome!"

Half the time I look up stuff on Wikipedia before I look it up on Yahoo or Google, lol. I have edited some articles, but mostly I stick to reading.

Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio stated in an October 26, 2006 interview that the Milwaukee Brewers currently have eight outfielders better than Chris Magruder.

I've hated Wiki for a year now. On the Miller Park page, there is an entire section about how "everybody" calls it Wrigley Field North. When I put one sentence on the Wrigley page about some Milwaukee fans calling it Miller Park South I recieved a week ban for vandalizing the site.

 

But I did add a couple of things to Steve Czaben's site and 1029 the Hog.

I'll vouch that it used to mention "Wrigley North". Haven't checked anytime recently however.
