Yep its not a fun one but I'd gladly lose the rest of our games if it meant no Yost next season.

I'd really like to see Hart go to an all star game next season.

I respect the sentiment, but I'd at least like to end the losing season string. 82 wins. It ends the losing seasons, but is still disappointing enough to assure that DM has to thing about losing Ned.

Hey rising, choose 1:

1. Brewers finally have a winning season, Yost get an extension

2. Brewers have another non-winning season, miss playoffs, Yost gets canned

I choose #2 for sure.

Even if we do go over .500, and we get Ned back, even if we do make the playoffs next year, I am fully convinced he will screw us out of a whole series with his moronic moves.

I will sacrifice 1 more offseason of shame and humiliation to have a new manager and the playoffs in 2008

Yost can only be fired if the Brewers are able to get someone like Hargrove to take over. The idea of firing Yost and hiring someone like Dusty Baker has me terrified. It's not exactly a guarantee the Brewers would get someone that could immediately make you forget the debacle in Houston, but at least we don't have to be reminded constantly of our manager's failures with Prior and Wood jerseys.

Either way, by next season Yost is going to discover the meaning of "small sample" and we'll be blessed with watching our best players every game.

So how are you so sure that a losing season will be the straw that broke the camel's back? Suppose we lose out but we're no hit for the reason of the season but our pitchers all only give up one run each game? You couldn't pin that on Yost. So I don't think it comes down to a winning season vs. losing season criterion for extending/firing him.

What you can pin on Yost though is that we were in a great position to win the division and we didn't, and that in a good many situation, Yost did not give us the best chance to win. If Melvin&Attanasio don't see that, I'm not so sure they'll just give up on Yost just because we didn't have a winning season.

- Hart to CF, Hall to 3B, Braun to LF/RF

- Obtain a young catcher who plays good defense.

- Villanueva is given a starting pitching spot from the first day of spring training. No ifs, ands, or buts. No competing with bums like Vargas, the job should be his.

- Find somebody to manage the team who isn't obsessed with save situations, bunting, and relying on small samples. Former Brewers players should not be considered for this position.

- Don't suck.

1) Fire Ned Yost and replace him with a proven winner instead of another rookie manager. It should be someone with no ties to the organization and no loyalty or emotional attachment to any of the current players. The new manager should also be hired based on his in-game srategy expertise rather than his "confidence building" skills and other stupid stuff that really doesn't win games. He should show a little more passion in the dugout. I am thinking Tony LaRussa or someone of that caliber.

2) Part ways with Jenkins, Mench, Miller, Wise, Koskie, Graffanino, and Linebrink. . . maybe Capuano too. I don't like their contracts and they don't contribute enough.

3) Pay Cordero whatever he is worth. We don't have a choice.

4) Learn from the Cubs and don't count on Prior and Wood anymore. In other words, don't expect anything from Ben Sheets anymore. Sign a front of the rotation starter or trade for one. It's time to ship out some prospects if we have to. Pitching wins.

5) Sign a bunch of middle relievers, one of whom should be a dominant setup man. Don't be cheap

6) Find a left-fielder whose hitting style is similar to someone like Jeff Cirrillo, Joe Dillon, Kevin Seitzer, Fernando Vina, etc. I want to see a high average disciplined hitter who is a pain in the neck for opposing pitchers. We don't need more homeruns. We need someone who can get on base for the heart of our order coming up. It's time to shake up the makeup of our offense and get more balance.

7) Keep Bill Hall. I think he has can bounce back.

8) Find veteran bench help on the scrap heap. Sal Bando would always find guys like Willie Randolph, Jody Reed, Kevin Seitzer, Hideo Nomo, Scott Fletcher, etc. We had a lot of good luck with those kind of players and they barely cost anything. I really miss those type of veterans. Those guys were good.

9) I am not a big Counsell fan and I realize he is probably not moveable. But at least explore trade possibilities.

10) Explore the trade market for Ben Sheets. It doesn't hurt to talk and at least see what's out there. You never know.

Why does everyone want Cordero released? Who wouldn't want one of the top 5 closers in the game? A good team needs an excellent closer. Today cordero made 1 mistake. If Counsell would have drove the run in, it would still be a 1 run game. Cordero's numbers: REC 0-4 | SV 44 | ERA 2.83 | WHIP 1.09 Last year with Milwaukee: 16 saves, 1.69 era. Better yet, would you rather have Derrick Turnbow closing games?

They don't want him released as much as they dont' want us to pay his asking price. Cordero is probably going to be looking at something like $8/yr and many don't feel a closer is worth that.

I'm not sure what people mean by "releasing" Coco. What's going to happen is that the Brewers are going to offer him arbitration, he's going to decline it, and they'll let him walk and receive two comp picks. This is unless the unlikely scenario that they reach an extension on his contract.

But if Ned is fired, I really hope that they would pursue Davey Johnson.

And yes, I would like a big fat raise myswelf.

3. I would love to see some sort of trade, or series of trades that removes Estrada from the team.

4. Fire Jerry Garcia, or at least make him shave his chin. If he isn't fired, I would rather see his segment renamed "Tanked Tailgating" -- and address the bigger issues like "figuring out the correct brat/bun combination to purchase" -- or "passing off brats that fell on the ground", and "NEVER put your beer bottle on the grill", and "how to work those bun bag ties when you are really really hammered", and "Acting like you make your own 'stadium sauce', when in reality you bought some 1000 Island dressing from Wal-Mart and put it a tupperware"
